When installed on the rooftop, the air-cooled heat pump chiller generates low-frequency vibrations during operation. These vibrations are transmitted through the building structure to the rooms below. In addition, the water pump, installed directly on the ground without any vibration isolation measures, transmits operational vibrations to adjacent rooms, significantly affecting occupants’ work and rest.
Based on the on-site investigation and technical analysis, it was determined that the primary sources of vibration were structure-borne noise caused by the low-frequency vibrations of the air-cooled heat pump unit and the water pump itself.

First, develop a vibration isolation plan

Vibration isolators were installed at the base of the air-cooled heat pump, directly at the vibration source.
Additional anti vibration mounts were installed at the water pump, and vibration isolation mounts were applied to pipes and other rigid connections to interrupt vibration transmission paths.
After the vibration isolation devices were installed, the equipment was put into normal operation. During operation, no vibration transmission was detected in the rooms where vibration had previously been perceived, effectively eliminating the impact on the indoor environment.
